January 15, 2018—Mario Dion, Canada's new Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner, stated today:
"I've studied the outstanding investigation files and have decided to proceed with all investigations that were begun by my predecessor. My intention is to complete them as quickly as is possible with due regard for the principles of natural justice."
Confidentiality requirements prevent Commissioner Dion from providing any more information about the investigations.
